Ford’s revamped Kuga SUV to start from £32,080

Ford’s facelifted Kuga SUV will start from £32,080, and will be available in a choice of four powertrains and five trim levels when it arrives on sale in the coming weeks.   

Leading the pack is the Titanium edition, which boasts a petrol engine paired to a manual gearbox. 

For those inclined towards hybrid power, the S-Line, Active, and the premium S-Line X versions are available, starting at £38,555. 

The flagship ST-Line X meanwhile, is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system, priced at £42,455.

The Active variant is a new addition to the 2024 Kuga lineup, offering a more rugged aesthetic. It features silver scuff plates, added body cladding, and a distinctive grille design. Meanwhile, the cabin is enhanced with custom floor mats and a dashboard finished in wood.

It also boasts a higher ride height than the other versions, plus a new Trail Mode,  which is said to optimise traction control and throttle response for when driving off-road.

Internally, the new Kuga now comes equipped with a spacious 13.2-inch central touchscreen (previously 8.0-inch) running the firm’s newest Sync 4 infotainment system. It offers cloud-connected navigation and support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.

The central touchscreen is accompanied by a new 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, which changes its display based on the driving mode selected. 

Other updated features include new, Dynamic Pixel LED headlights that adjust to different driving conditions, as well as improved driver assistance systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Predictive Speed Assist.
